Day 3: Something Green

 postedatstrangestrworld.blogspot.com

Since my camera is not cooperating with me I found a picture of something green online. I choose to believe this is not photo shopped. I just need for a tree like this to exist in the world. If such a tree exists, then there's a bit of magic left and the world could use some mysterious magic. Don't you agree? Ever since I was a little girl and saw the angry trees who threw apples at Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz I've had this feeling that trees have souls. My mom says I stood up during the entire movie and I kept asking her if I should be scared. I don't remember that but I know my life long fascination with trees began way back then.
Did you ever read that book The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein? I adored that book when I was a child. The tree in that book maybe suffers from a bit of a martyr syndrome but her generous spirit really moves me. I love how the trees join the battle for good in the last Lord of the Rings movie. Much to the embarrassment of my family I stood up and cheered during that scene. I was just so excited. The picture of this tree makes me smile, real or imagined, it's just perfect.  If I were a tree I would dance. It's good for the soul.
