Okay, so I'm not in the picture. I set up twelve of my favorite books along with an adorable children's book I found at the library. The book is 13 Words by Lemony Snicket. It's illustrated by Maira Kalman and it is so irrisistably cute. The other twelve books are:
1. Alice in Pop-Up Wonderland illustrated by J. Otto Siebold
2. Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
3. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
4. Crabtree & Evelyn Fragrant Herbal by Lesley Bremness
5. Mary Englebreit's Home Companion
6.Tracy Porter's Home Style
7. Vintage Vavoom: Romantic Decorating with one-of-a-kind Finds from The Editors of Romantic Homes Magazine
8. What People Wore with nearly 1800 detailed illustrations by Douglas Gorsline
9. Complete Stories and Poems of Edfar Allan Poe
10. The Vein of Gold by Julia Cameron
11. Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy by Sarah Ban Breathnach
12. Essentially Lilly: A Guide to colorful Entertaining by Lilly Pulitzer and Jay Mulvaney
I picked up the library book because I liked the title 13 Words and I instantly knew I would photograph myself with 13 books for today's challenge. The pictures with me in them, I just didn't like them so much. Anyway, the 13 words in the story are quite random:
1.Bird
2.Despondent
3.Cake
4. Dog
5. Busy
6. Convertible
7. Goat
8. Hat
9. Haberdashery
10. Scarlet
11. Baby
12. Panache
13. Mezzo-Soprano
I have a list in one of my journals of 13 words I adore. I wonder why the number 13 keeps appearing? Here are the 13 words I listed as my favorite abvout seven years ago. I still like them.
1. Awesome (although I concede it's over used. For example, at work I ask people if they came to take advantage of our super awesome credit offer. GAG!!! The Grand Canyon is awesome. A $2,00 credit limit, not so much.
2. Ballerina
3. Mumble
4. Creation
5. Dhalia
6. Fantastical
7. Azure
8. Effervescent
9. Trinity
10. Hazy
11. Chrysanthemum
12. Toile
13. Surrender
Until Next time...
