I am 5 foot nothing, so I might argue that everything I photograph is from a low angle but I’m not the type to argue. I’m pretty much laid back. I took a photo of these flowers just because they’re at the Jack In The Box of the parking lot where I work and they looked pretty. It’s funny how a camera lens really makes you focus (pun intended.)
I took this photo at work just because I’ve always liked it but still, not really a low angle.
So, here, I think I got it right. I crouched down low and aimed the camera up and shot. That’s the Williams Trace Tower, the tallest building in Houston.
This was the first pic I took this morning while contemplating this assignment. I laid on my belly and shot this picture. The blue tin is part of my collection. I bought it earlier this year on one of my artist dates because of the word Morsels. While watching CBS Sunday Morning I saw these mountain goats foraging and I said something like, "Oh those poor babies." My ten year old son asked why I called them that and I told him, "Well look at them trying to find any morsel of food, and they can't." He laughed so hard at the word morsel and found any excuse to work the word into conversations for days. When I found this tin I bought it and he totally loves our inside joke. Sometimes he says, "Morsels" for no reason and burts into a fit of giggles. I guess it is kind of a funny word.
And here is my final picture. This is a sheet of cute first class stamps. I stopped by the post office this morning to mail off the mortgage check. The mail lady asked me if I needed any stamps and I told her, "Not quite yet, but if you have any cute stamps I'll go ahead and buy them." She promptly pulled out a notebook for me to browse through and I picked these. Here's what's funny. Whenever I ask the men behind the counter if they have any cute stamps they give me a funny look and say, "We have forever stamps." The ladies always know what I mean. Is it too much to ask for, cute stamps? I think not.
