Totally not understanding what long exposure means on a digital camera I grabbed the Kodak and my son and I headed for the park. I took this picture from far away and figured it would do. My son swung for a awhile and I got these shots. He has red and blue hair right now. It's summer, so, why not.
When I bought a townhouse I felt a little bad that I was depriving my kids and dogs of a yard but we live within walking distance of two city parks. We always go to this one because the other one is across from some pretty rough apartments and the kids playing there asked my kids to play drug deal gone bad with them. My kids had no idea how to play that game and we've never returned to that park. The homeless drunk sleeping in the gazebo also freaked them out. I shot this picture of a Superman pinata because he has had a long exposure to the elements as he's been hanging outside for about three years. Why? I have no idea.On our walk we said hello to the dog who guards the auto shop across from the park. She never barks at us anymore. We also walked past the shop where Daisy gets groomed sometimes. Not often enough, she would tell you. I like their sign. It's retro and cute.
Then we passed the Korean Baptist church on our return home. It's next door to a Mexican Pentecostal church. I love our diverse neighborhood. There's room for everybody.
Today for my artist date I went to Half Price Books. I got a scoop of bubblegum icecream at Baskin Robbins then picked up this book. I wish my kids weren't too old for Sesame Street. I love that show.
Until next time...
